C So the first guitar I ever bought Dm Was twice as old as me F/G G7 'Cause its life was full of music, C C4 C As I dreamed that mine might be. C And I played that thing a thousand nights Dm And traded it away F/G G7 For something slightly newer C C4 C That was easier to play. F But now lately I buy new guitars Fm They're shiny as a hearse. Bdim7 E I still like the look of road wear, Am F/G G7 But the roles have been reversed. C And now this thing is a classic Bdim7 E But I still don't need to buy.
